Our Mission
Kounouz’s mission is to preserve and promote the rich Moroccan artisanal heritage while reinventing it for a modern and international clientele. By combining traditional manufacturing techniques with contemporary designs, every step of the creative process is carried out with care in our workshop in Marrakech. From inspiration to design, pattern-making, sewing, and final product, we dedicate our artisanal know-how to excellence. To meet the expectations of a broad and diverse global clientele, Kounouz offers two distinct styles: a traditional oriental style, rich in history and craftsmanship, and a trendy, modern style, perfect for those seeking a contemporary touch. Each Kounouz creation is distinguished by its unique character and refinement, adorned with our silver logo in the shape of a jewel, inspired by flowers and Moroccan zellige patterns. This symbol embodies our identity, merging tradition and modernity in every detail of our pieces.
Our Socio-Economic Commitment
At Kounouz, we value local products and support the economy by collaborating with artisans, young entrepreneurs, and women's cooperatives from rural areas around Marrakech. Together, we create handcrafted trimmings and Aakad that enhance our collections. We also train young people in traditional sewing, thereby preserving our ancestral know-how. Concerned about the environment, we recycle our fabric scraps into Berber rugs, adding a sustainable and responsible dimension to our approach.
